Tattoo Aftercare ® was developed in the UK in the spring of 2000 after its creator SHIRLEY JAFFREY went for her first Tattoo and was told to use a Hemorrhoid cream on her skin to aid healing.Surprised at the recommended choice of treatment Shirley went on to develop Tattoo Aftercare.  Armed with over 15 years experience, aromatherapy training and an excellent understanding on how natural products best suited the skin Shirley began working with a range of base oils and essential oils. Her aim was to find the ingredients best suited to the skins changing requirements during the healing process following Tattooing. She set up business with her husband James.  The first few years they worked from home as samples were sent out to Tattoo studios all over the UK. The products were hand blended in their kitchen. As they build up a UK customer base they moved into commercial premises and manufacturing was moved to Laurencekirk, Scotland. A few years later Shirley and James moved the main office to Chester where they are based today. Chester gives them access to a number of international airports.  They now supply Tattoo Studios direct and via distributors all over the U.K, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Poland, Iceland, Czech Republic, USA, Indonesia, India, Australia and this website retails to individual customers worldwide.PRODUCTS Tattoo Aftercare®, BPA Piercing Aftercare™ and Laser Aftercare™ are 100% natural and contain no paraben preservatives, lanolin, food grade colours or nut oils. They are approved under the humane cosmetics standard, (not tested on animals) The recipe blend won the first ever Golden Bunny award from the BUAV in 2005. The feedback they had had over the years from satisfied customers has been immense. Not only are people using Tattoo Aftercare® for their tattoos but they have found relief from various skin complaints. Once a Tattoo had healed (and with a quick healing time they had plenty left) they were using Tattoo Aftercare® on Eczema, Psoriasis, dry skin, chapped lips, after waxing, sunburn, insect bites, stubble rash, nourishing moisturizer and more. She was also a nominated for Cheshire Woman of the year 2008 for professional Achievement.
