As books go, this one shatters the mould for tattoo publications into a million tiny pieces…and that’s not even a reference to its 5.5 kilograms in weight!
The brainchild of Adrian Lee and the Analog Tattoo Arts Kolectiv, BloodWork documents 67 sleeves from some of the greatest tattoo artists working today, including Filip Leu, Grime, Mick Tattoo, Marcus Pacheco and Scott Silvia, plus all of the Analog residents (Adrian, Matt Shamah, Ron Earhart and Jim Miner). Beautifully shot by the adroit Max Dolberg, BloodWork is an exquisite tome consisting of 350-pages of sleeves shot from many different angles and combined into some of the most striking images we’ve ever laid eyes upon. Hand-bound, 2 years in the making and setting a completely new precedent for documenting tattoos, BloodWork:Sleeves is nothing short of a labour of love.
