Can you tattoo over moles?

just wondering if you can tattoo over moles, like the big ones that look like coco pops lol and are raised off the skin? coz i got a big 1 on my back, and im tryin 2 design a tattoo around it but it would be much easier 2 just tattoo over it? just wondered if you could?

Artists avoid them now, and will tattoo around them- it is common enough to see moles within large pieces.

Years ago was different for some - I worry like hell over one on my arm, that I distinctly recall the artist positively grinding ink into!

You should not allow it's placement to affect the overall design of your piece at all.

You shouldn't even SHAVE a mole, let alone Tattoo it.
The slightest thing, if you're unlucky, can cause a mole to metastasize, and in some cases change it from benign to malignant.

I had a tattoo over a small mole, its been fine, but usually tattooists try and work round them.

You could always get it removed first.

Spooky, was just going to say that, might be worth getting it checked out at the docs, then removed and least then it will be flat on the skin and less noticable within your design - Good luck!

Yup...I'd say thats the best option.. I got one removed a few months back...5 mins in the drs chair, and that was it.

i had a similar thing removed from the side of my head.
Every time i got my hair cut the barber would catch the fcuker!

As the others have said, 5 min job done at the doctors! And now i dont have to grit my teeth every time i get my head shaved

if your artist trys to, then stop him/her.

it just aint right!
