Default Welcome to the Apprenticeship Sub Forum: Read Me

Hello and welcome to the newly moderated Apprenticeship forum.

My name is Bob Done and I will be your moderator this afternoon.....maybe tonight....and hopefully tomrrow morning too....

Just thought I'd make you all aware of some of the things that I'm not going to tolerate on here and my reasoning behind those decissions.

I'm not a Power crazy monk hell bent on destroying 'fun' or a grumpy old man that doesnt understand why these kids wear there pants so low and there caps back to front who will shout at you when delivering my paper because your standing on my newly planted tulips.

So I hope you will find them fair and understand where I'm coming from.

I'm not planning on changing anything, 'If it aint broke dont fix it' but There aren't any clear cut rules anywhere in this subsection regarding what is and isn't acceptable.

So without further ado.......*drum roll*.....Your post will be deleted if it contains the following:

-Links to websites that sell Tattoo Kits
-Links to websites that sell Tattoo Equipment to Joe Public
-Links to websites that offer Tattoo Courses or Tattoo Schools
-Links to e-Bay Auctions of Tattoo kits or equipment
-Links to e-Bay auctions that sell stolen or copyrighted flash
-Private sales of tattoo equipment

Your going to get peoples back up if you do the following:
-Start a thread asking for advice on anything regarding tattooing from home
-Start a thread admitting your tattooing from home outside of an apprenticeship wihtout an autoclave or EHO Registration
-Start a thread offering your tattooing services and it transpires your a kitchen wizard
-Start a thread asking for advice on a tattoo you did in your bedroom
-Start a thread asking for advice on equipment, colours or techniques and you havent asked your mentor first
-If you dont have a mentor and your asking the above question.

Now this is a public forum and you can post whatever the hell you want but please be prepared that if you do so chose to do something from the above lists the responses you may get arent going to be hugs and kisses.

I have also compiled a list of things that will make everyone in this subsection happy.

You will be welcomed with open arms if your looking for an apprenticeship and start a thread with the following:
-An introduction
-Examples of you work/portfolio
-A respectful attitude
-Ears that are ready to listen
-Skills
-A Brain

Anyway, I hope this clears some things up and set us all off on a good foot.

I look foward to helping.

Bob Done

OK here goes hope I don't get your back up. I'm interested in becoming an apprentice, but after reading these forums I'm not sure if I'd be accepted.

I love drawing, but have no technical background or qualifcations.

I have a collection of some of my better pics, but not sure if you'd call it a portfolio (I have designed all 3 of my Tattoos)

I'd really appreciate any advice so as not to annoy any body.

(sorry about the quality of the pics)

being kind by saying those designs aint very striking... but look forward to you impressing us with your drawings

My favourite mythical creature is a Liger (lion and tiger mix), would it translate as a tattoo???, I hear Napoleon Dynamites skills involve drawing mythical creatures, why doesn't he draw a few sets of flash, im sure they will be very popular! he could also draw sheets of lettering, but the font is little men posing as each letter, might be the next old english, you never no!

Ligers aren't mythical; they've been bred in captivity.
