Default fave show & why.?

theres just so many shows these days.?
but i kinda like some of the smaller shows as well, rather than just the big ones.

derby aint bad, londons just too busy, but a great show for the big names.

going to try and make manchester this year , bigger venue just might make it less cramped.

even the birmingham show is going bigger, so it might be worth a look too.

just too many to go to.
its a pick and choose really, just spending time away from your own shop kinda lets your own customers down a little... if you try doing all the shows.

anyway ....next years shows for me .
working, newport
working,carlisle
working newcastle
and trying to get to derby manchester and brum.although not working them.
london too if possible.

still my favourite show is dunstable, but thats all gone now, as is dave fleets show it was very good show too.

and i still want to get state side for a show as well.
just too many to get to.

Dunstable is/was still my fave, quality artists and a nice atmosphere.

Pompey- small show but have never failed to have a fucking good craic there

London, by far the best if its top drawer tattooing you are after but a little impersonnal due to the size and amount of punters.

Cheltenham was also another good sized show and I had some very good weekends attending that one.

Tattoo jam is the one I am looking forward to this year, got a good feeling about this one. My only concern is the time of year, summer conventions have never been very well supported.

Swansea show holds a place in my heart even though its not anywhere near the best. But I did first meet Sam there so thats got to be a good thing.

Brugge was also another good one, but alas its another one that is held no more

I used to love Dunstable, even though I only made it to the last few.
Dare I say it, I also used to really like the Ink n Iron in the early days @ the Villa, hopeful to see whether the new show is a return to form.
Made it to Derby this year too and thought it was superb, really nice atmosphere, quality artists, spot on with the layout & spacing, IMO. I can see that one becoming a regular visit for us now.
First time at London this year, but I'm afraid I have to echo Brim's sentiments, felt a little impersonal to me bit I suppose that's the peril of a show that size.
One of the worst ones I can recall (only vaguely as it's been quite a while!) was I think in Cornwall (?) was held in a nightclub and was so dim, you could barely see a thing! It was almost working by blacklight at some points! Nightmare!

Cheltenham was always great. My first tattoo shows and right on my doorstep. When i started going there i didnt know other conventions were out there. Size, artists, layout, entertainment were all spot on. I wish they'd put it on again.

London was the best for artists but due to being ill and only being able to get there for the Sunday i didnt get to enjoy it properly, maybe next year.

Think im most looking forward to Brighton this year. I love Brighton so a show there can only be a good thing and what Woodys put together sounds incredible.
