Default Lobe reconstruction

I've been stretching my left lobe, but the piercing was too low initially, and so I quite stupidly let the skin under the plug get stretched too thin - in September it was about 1mm thick.

My favourite piercer said I ought to take it out, let the skin thicken, and have it repierced higher if I want to start stretching again.

I took it out then, and since then have been massaging the skin twice daily with vitamin E oil, but there's barely been any difference 4 months later, and I've started thinking about lobe reconstructive surgery, maybe followed by scalpelling.

Before I seriously start to consider this route, I was just wondering what people think, in terms of where I should get it done (private surgeon/piercer) and if anybody has any idea of price ranges for both.

Thank you

If you get in contact with Mac at Punctured Body Piercing in Dawlish, he should be able to give you all the info you require and im pretty sure he does reconstruction also.
He done the points on my ears, gave me the imfamous spock look healed up a treat and look kickass.

Graham at Thou Art in Sheffield/holier than thou in Manchester is the best one to ask. He's a member here - holier1. He can probably give you some advice when he logs in.

nigel you are just too kind.

as for your ears if you do get them reconstructed forget getting them scalpelled afterwards for a long time, scar tissue is only ever going to be 70% as strong as healthy lobes, and if you put any pressure on the ears/scars from the reconstruction before properly healed and i mean (at least a year down the line) you have a very high risk of the ears splitting. you could ask mac or quentin at kalima but they should tell you the same, if you want your ears reconstructed it is not advisable to stretch/scalpel them. you can PM me or email me if you wish to chat more about this in private.

Graham is indeed an excellent piercist/body mod type of chap. He did my cheeks, but I had to take them out because they drove me fucking mental!

Jo Harrison recently had her lobes sorted out, check her myspace - there's loads of pictures on there.
