I'm posting this For Paul Silfer ( Red, White and Blue) Good Guy, Good Tattoosist.... Please read and help out!



Red Hot And Blue Tattoos needs your help! -

An Edinburgh councilor has objected to our license being renewed on the grounds that there are two high schools in close proximity to the studio, and "children may be walking by them on a daily basis." If you are outraged by that blatant ignorance and discriminatory attitude, please send an e-mail to info@redhotandbluetattoo.co.uk with your name, address and date of birth so we can add you to a petition to bring to a licensing committee hearing on April 25. If you're feeling particularly eloquent about the subject, you can write us a letter. Your help is greatly appreciated. Please re-post this bulletin.

its as if the councils message is lets victimise an established taxpaying, registered business.. meantime housebound scratchy bobs get their rent paid and no council tax to worry about.

I don't see the problem.
This councillor is elected, not appointed, and any negative feedback regarding her Hitlerian attitude should be made to the Council Ombudsman, and a very strongly worded letter sent by registered mail to the council offices complaining about her biased and harmful opinions regarding a rate-paying business.
Alternatively, go to her next surgery with a group of customers, colleagues and friends and very politely inform her that if she does not cease and desist from voicing harmful and untruthful opinions regarding the business, then you will regretfully have no other recourse than to take strong legal action.
It is an offence under Scottish Law to assault someone whether physically or by "slander, rumour or nuance". As she is apparently making remarks that could be considered innuendo,and therefore harmful to your livelihood, she is guilty of misconduct at the very least.


Also, remember that EVERY councillor will do ANYTHING to avoid negative publicity.
YOU pay her, not the other way around. SHE is the one on whom the onus is to provide service to you and your business.


Personally, I've told all but one of our local councillors to get the fuck off my private property and reminded them that it's easier for me to get them sacked than it would ever be for them to get me closed down.
These clowns aren't elected to make your life difficult people, they're elected to do what they're told. Nothing more, nothing less.

There's that many tattoo shops all over the country now a good many of them must be in close proximity to local schools, mine included. So what makes this particular studio so offensive that they might have to move?

its in the councillors area, she just has a bee in her bonnet, but there is a lot of support for paul and a lot of people behind him including the local EHO.
if this was to go through every studio in edinburgh would be at risk.
