They did very well at not showing much in the way of technical stuff last time. There was very little that any scratcher could pick up that they couldn't pick up by actually going and getting tattooed (in fact probably less).

As for the celeb thing, it just seems a bit desperate. I don't think it's a stunt they need to pull. I'm pretty sure it would have pulled in the viewers without it.

I know the celebs Gee has tattooed got far less imaginative tatts than Joe public has. It's not the same everywhere tho....

I think most people who want to give it a go will do it anyway and to be honest us tattoo loves are lucky that they do and have done for years! There are a tonne of artists who are excellent, famous (or very well known), established artists who started out as "scratchers".

The tattoo world would be a very differnt place without them.

In the ideal world established tattooists would be able to sniff out talent and take on the right people as apprentices but thats not the way it happens. All of the artists who have worked on me started by tattooing friends in their bedrooms. They were smart about it and hygiene savvy etc but they were still "scratchers". Now they are all well respected (and liked on here no less!) tattooists.

yep, agree with it all, in fact i brought up the "most people learned at home anyway" thing on hear years ago, and got shot full of holes.. by people who learned from home..

the same thing runs true, that everyone with a studio isnt automatically a superb tattooist..

How long do you think it will be before all the artists on here start pleading their innocence?

No matter how much I love Big Brother (one more sleep! ), I'm still baffled as to how anybody could really sell them as "celebrities"!

Says Emma, the (hypocritical) queen of z-list celebrity spotting.

Maybe this fella with Mrs Chaos will be on, seeing as he was at manchester.

She got all excited by the "famous" person.

that was sooooo funny, the poor lad looked terrified as Mrs C grabbed hold of him and in one breath confirmed he was from corrie, spun him round and photo was taken, he was still looking bemused when we were walkin off going "who the fuck was that"
