Default Finding an artist: Recommendations?

Hi there - I have designed a very personal full back piece, and would like any imput into artist recommendations that you all have!

I have an artist in mind - but would like to see if anyone has any further people i should consider.

Things you should know about me / the piece:

Money is no barrier - it is a commemorative piece, so worth anything i will have to fork out.

I will travel anywhere - and stay any reasonable amount of time.

I will wait on a long list if needed.

The tattoo will be a full back piece

I would like an artist who is good with colour

I would like the style to be half way between old skool and photorealism (bold colour, yet nice shading / touch of realism)

The main components of the piece are: large skull and crossbones, scroll + elaborate latin text, large and medium flowers, two large playing cards.

Many thanks for reading

Many thanks Bettybean - most of his stuff is exactly what i meant! Especially liked the large gun and his faces...

Will add him to the pile of considerations!... that sounds stuck up! not trying to be - just want to get it right - is such an important piece, and at then end of the day i will have it forever! i am just being extra picky this time!

Thanks inkminx!

i have come across this guy before - outstanding!

I love his use of colour and shade - it really captures what i would like - that mix between bright but real, yet never exclusively one or the other!

I especially like both the large skulls he has done - and with a skull and cross bones being the centre piece for my tattoo - he is one of the artists that i will have to seriously consider.

you sticking to the uk or looking abroad, cory norris/jeff gogue, johnny truant all excel at the things you describe. or even eze nunez who works a lot in this country.

Actually Holier1 I have just googled them all so don't worry about the linkage - always forget about that

Jeff Gogue is incredible - i must admit that i limited my search to the UK up to now - but am willing to travel so why i did that is a mystery!!!!

The others are cool too - but i have better lined up already for what i am after. Eze Nunez has a rockin' website though - is there anything that doesn't make a noise?!

excepty gogue isnt takin on new tattooing clients.. cos someone pays him a retainer.

theres artists in the uk that fight in gogue's league.

two spring to mind immediately.. ones already been mentioned above.
