I had an appointment and deposit paid for work by a US portrait artist for London two years ago. The artist changed the day from a Sunday to Saturday at the last minute, meant I couldn't get the tattoo as I was flying home on the Saturday night. I was very pissed off as I made the booking 10 or 11 months in advance. It wasn't nice walking by the booth seeing him tattooing someone else during the time I booked.

Surely if you were meant to be getting tattooed on the sunday (which is the day AFTER saturday) then you would have missed it anyway by flying home on sat?

Unless he had a helicopter and was very rich I doubt he'd be flying home to London from London.

What if he works elsewhere, and lives elsewhere, but is from London and considers London home and flew home to London for the convention on the Saturday night?

Huh?

That wouldn't make sense, if he considered 'home' to be london, and thus would be flying there on saturday for the convention then there would be no problem as he would be in london for the sat and sunday.

I consider Canada *home*, but live in Scotland. It made perfect sense to me, and maybe will be clarified. Saturday night flight was mentioned.

Yes but he was saying that the appointment was changed from sunday, to saturday. If he was flying out on the saturday night, then he would not have been able to make the sunday appointment in the first place. I'm pretty sure home isn't meant as london.

Close to saying fcuk it and giving up, but do really want the piece done
people seem to have forgotten that tattooers are busy people. the last thing they want t do is sit at home after a days tattooing and put time aside to answer long emails after drawing for a few hrs.

can't you call his place of work? you'd be amazed how much you can arrange in one short phonecall.

if the guy still gives you grief knock it n the head i say
