Some good bands there this year

Reading is such an awful festival though, or else I'd have considered going for the day.

I've never done a rainy year there - can't imagine it'd be pleasant! lol

I didn't like it much either....I prefer festivals where the camp site and events are integrated.

At Reading theres nothing to do once the headliners finish and everyone in the campsite has nothing to do, meaning there are some that turn into complete c**ts and piss off everyone....majorly!

The set up in the arena is ok I guess...a few bottle necks when I went but thats only to be expected in a small arena with so much stuff rammed into it (you can hear every stage from every stage).

Just full of kids, which is the main problem

There's no real festival atmosphere. Once you get kicked out of the arena, it's basically a load of drunk kids acting the cunt.

I wouldn't camp there, even if it were free.

I went in '04 & it was so much fun just purely 'cos it was raining most the time & you couldn't walk without losing a welly in the foot deep mud.
The queue outside the welly shop in the town centre all Friday day time even though i had some of my own was not cool. I had to sit & guard the 6 crates of beer we'd bought. I miss Reading with half decent stages & line ups

Thats not to say I had a bad time when I went...in fact I had a great time but I prefer Glastonbury.

I think once you've been to Glastonbury, then no other major festival will cut it.

Nah I've done Glastonbury and didn't enjoy it. Download was good before it Radio 1 buggered it up and apart from Friday, Reading's line up looks gash. Except for RATM.

Download is undoubtedly the worst festival I have ever been to.

Good music, bad people
