But then getting the mate's tattoo covered or lasered off costs more so in the long run it's more economical to get the good one to start with!

But if it's a bad tattoo and they don't realise that it could be better then I think they need to be told.

That tattoo the Eightball posted of the stars is really badly tattooed. Maybe if the owner of that saw that stars with straight lines CAN be done then maybe they'd research better before their next one and that's gotta be a good thing.

The less people that go to bad tattooists then the more likely they are to go out of business and fuck off out of it! Then in an ideal world all that will be left will be good tattooists

Hmmm its not always the tattooists fault. I had a customer in today with the most awful shakey lined heartagram on her wrist. I agreed to straighten it out and she quivered and pulled away and tensed and squeeled all the way through it. I had to grip her so tight to get the job done.

Hmmm. Good point. So it's practically my DUTY to tell them.

i say nowt, and just sit quietly and smugly.

last night for instance, after this lass had gone WYLD over the sleeve bez is doing on me, her husband said "meh, its ok..ive seen better.." for her to go "whey it shits all over the wank youve got... " and she proceeded to try and roll his sleeves up, for him to lose his rag and get huffy.

i LOLed.

If i had some of the work people have on here, i'd be rubbing it in people's face all the time. It'd be like that crocodile dundee moment, "that's not a tattoo, THIS is a tattoo."

My flatmate's girlfriend showed me a rose she got on her wrist, local guy did it for a tenner. I have to admit i kept my mouthshut about it. Maybe if the same thing happens again and i have decent work to show off, i'll say something. I'd never presume to tell anyone their tattoo is shit simply because of subject matter. If it's been done well but i just don't like it then i won't say anything. I used to work with two guys that had shit tattoos and i'd tell them exactly how shit they were, they never learnt.
