Aye gutting indeed. But im unimpressed by the notion that it was unprepared peanuts that killed it. Benson has been consistantly dropping weight and came out at 50lb back in May. Also the lake lost "The Creature" in may.
To me this sounds like either a natural death or a problem with the lake itself.
Plus, finding peanuts on the floor which look uncooked isn't uncommon as they dry out extremely quick.
But still, a sad loss to the carpy community.

You're not far wrong there Zoller,Benson was stocked in the lake alongside another large common called Hedges,although he managed to escape into the Nene during a flood.
