Hello all!

As an avid reader of Skin Deep and a lover of a variety of types of music, I figured I wasn't the only one, so I thought I would share this band with you guys:

Acey Slade & The Dark Party

They've been described as 'dark-electro-pop-sleaze' but frankly I don't think that does them justice!
I don't want to waffle on too much, so I recommend you have a look for yourselves.

I myself am a reader of this mag and sometimes wander round these forums but have never joined (until now - hence the "number of posts"), but this really got my goat.

If you don't have an interest in the thread thats fine, leave it be - but why respond with something as nonsensical and generalized as that? I mean, really. Did it occur that this might be the O.P's first visit ever to a forum? that they are trying to promote something they are interested in and that doing this for (usually very demanding) 'Street Teams' is one way to do that? I'm not saying this is a first foray into Forum usage, but have some forethought and manners.

Play nice.

There are a couple of ongoing music related threads that this could have been put into, but if you demand attention by starting a new thread, you have to accept that some of the attention will be negative.

I followed the link and thought that the band were shit. I wouldn't have bothered to put my opinion online if you hadn't made such a whingey first post.

Yeah, like Slybacon said, street teams suck. Buy a ticket for the gig, ferfuxake. No-one wants the crap flyers you hand out - they either end up on the street as rubbish (maybe that's why they call them street teams

) or put in the bin by rubbish nazis like myself (littering makes me mental).

And this does seem like spamming to me to (as previously pointed out by BB).

As for Acey Slade, me and my OH met him on the way out from the acoustic gig he did in TJ's, Newport. But we were on the way to see much better bands across the road in the NCLA (3 inches of blood and a few others if I remember correctly). But he seemed like a cool guy, nonetheless.
