Well I for one am glad you did. Y'see, unlike many people that 'grace' the internet I'm actually interested in other people's opinions and like to hear them whether they're negative or positive... what annoys me (and most others I know) is when people make snide remarks or unfounded stabs at others interests or beliefs, from a right to express their opinion in music to the way they dress or modify their bodies.
If you were'nt doing that, then I wholeheartedly apologise. If you were? well then I don't.

Hahahaha - like something like that would scare me off. Cheers for the concern strong_lyk_bull, but I've been using forums for far longer than I care to remember and am currently a moderator of three and and owner of two more. I wouldn't go so far as to say 'I've seen it all' because lets be honest, who has right? but I've seen my fair share of far worse than this. Tbh Slybacon's original post just hit a nerve and I should have known better than to bite the bait. Mind you, speaking of...

Nope, I'm not. Never have been and never will be. Got nothing against Street Teams myself, nor the people involved in running them or working with them, but I've never liked any band so much to go to the lengths most members of street teams do.
I actually felt bad about leaving a first negative post, so I researched this. I sent a PM to the O.P. (Gemma) and it seems I was right (where's my 'big head' emote? :P). This was not only her first ever visit to this forum, but it seems like it was her first ever visit to
any forum, period. She wasn't aware she was breaking any of the numerous strata of 'Forum Politics', by not posting in the introductory thread first, nor realised that many people don't appreciate the effort of people in Street Teams. She came here because she was a fan of the magazine and wanted to see if other people were interested in the same things as her. You'd think (or at least I would) that someone with non-mainstream interests and alternative views could find a home in a place like this with people likeminded and friendly.
I've tried to convince her that this was a hiccup and she should persevere, that she should come back and just chat about other things, but that remains to be seen.
