No never been, but I admire a lot of tattoos that come from there. But I am planning on NY & California in the next couple of years!

Yeh thats my other option, as they do come with a heavier price tag out there.

Depends where you go, but some places are really good.

It's a bastard when it comes to aftercare though. Using a combination of Bepanthen and suncream to keep it healing and sunburn free.

That's what I was thinking, didn't want any hassle while I was away. I'll try ringing round a few places tomorrow. cheers

If you're anywhere near Victoria I'd recommend Dynamic Tattoo in Richmond. Fantastic place, great group of guys, rather pricey at AUS$150 an hour but I'm ecstatic by what I had done.

The owner, Trevor McStay, has had his work exhibited in the National Gallery of Victoria.

I am going to be working out there, and I will be in Melbourne from December for about 6 months, i have a mate who lives in Hawthorne which is 2 mins from Richmond. thanks! got any pics of what you had done?

The Samurai took 3 and a half hours, the cherry blossom tree and shading took an hour and a half.

Booked in with Phil Kyle in the end a few weeks ago, for the 4th June.

I need to book my flight and am trying to work out how long it will take to heal. im thinking 3-4 weeks? I dont fancy being in a hot country while it's still healing.
