Default QR codes on website

Hi everyone,

I've been thinking about getting a QR code (the ones you scan and it takes you to the website) for my artwork page. Especially seeing as I'm making stickers etc and its hard to fit the whole URL on.
Does anyone think its a good idea? Would any of you actually scan a code if you saw it next to artwork you liked? Or is the URL better?

Thanks in advance, sorry for rambling

I have scanned them before when I have been sat in a bar or on a train station, but I found it a bit more of a hassle than just a URL.

However if it's going to be easier to fit it onto the sticker then I would go for it. I think sometimes where there is just the QR thing it makes people more curious so you might get hits that way?

You could always use a URL shortner, google has one here http://goo.gl/ it also generates a QR code as well as tracking the amount of clicks...

I have QR codes on the Tshirts we use in our shop, always getting them scanned when walking through town.
