Hi there,

Im new to the forum and searching for an Artist that specialises and is passionate about greyscale tattoos and portrait work. I want a memorial tattoo of my partner and Im very fussy. It has to be perfect and Im finding it difficult to research portrait artists. I live in Burntwood, Staffordshire. Im preferably looking for local artists or in the Birmingham area but if I struggle here I am willing to travel further.

Id appreciate any recomendations, links or even samples of work by any portrait artists on the forum.

Thanks! I have actually just came across his website in another thread and am impressed. He definitly specialises in tonework and greyscale. I've bookmarked it.

As others have said Myth from here is excellent and black and grey stuff especially portraits.

Further afield Darren Stares in Portsmouth is pretty fine too

I thought about a memorial tattoo years back when my nan died but after chatting to the guy in the studio i changed my mind. really glad i did now too. i got a tattoo yeah and i know that i had that particular one done for that reason..

One thing to consider if youve not done already is that people will be asking you alll the time. and it'll get to a point where you'll be fed up of telling people the reason behind it, also some people may be affraid to say to you WOW nice tattoo because they may not want to upset you!

Just worth considering
