Blurb about the show:
The popularity of tattooing has skyrocketed since 20-21 hosted the first Art With A Pulse exhibition back in 2001, which focused on tattoo photography, techniques and historical artefacts.

The ancient art of tattooing is constantly evolving and merging with the 'fine art world' of galleries and collectors. Recent years have seen the emergence of TV reality shows based in tattoo shops, as well as the tabloids’ obsession with celebrities' latest ink and the rise in popularity of Ed Hardy and Sailor Jerry merchandise.

In Art With a Pulse II, you will find ‘off the body’ work by world famous tattoo artists including Bugs, Alex Binnie, Angelique Houtkamp, and Jo Harrison.

The exhibition also features work by artists inspired by the tattoo and its culture and showcases a wide range of media including stained glass, mosaic and illustration. Photographs of some of today's 'tattooed ladies' and gents, such as leading burlesque performers, models, and celebrities, are also included.

20-21 will be exhibiting a selection of work from the exhibition at Tattoo Jam between 6 and 8 August 2010

Free creative activities everyday we are open - see website for details.

Oh Arse!

As you're far, far away I thought we could come to you the day after Liverpool, but then I saw you're not open on Mondays. Boo.

Will get there as soon as we can though

Well the show is drawing to a close soon - last day is Saturday 4 September. We've had nearly 10,000 visitors so far which is great news for us and the artists involved.

We do have a last minute treat as well....

Joolz Denby who is part of the show will be with us this coming Monday evening 23 August for a special reading of her tattoo related work.

Doors open 7pm and the event ends at 9pm giving folks a chance to catch the exhibition after hours - Tom's Tattoo Stained Glass looks fantastic lit up at dusk.

It is FREE entry.

There will be a complimentary drink upon arrival too for this special view of the show.

For the uninitiated Joolz is an award winning novelist, poet, visual artist and tattoo artist and has many, many more strings to her bow as well - I've been told her spoken work performances are something quite special.

If you need more details call 01724 297070 or message me on here.

See more details on the Facebook event page HERE!

I also wanted to say a big 'hello' to everyone we met upstairs in the gallery at Tattoo Jam and cheers to Shelley etc for inviting us over again, we had a lot of fun.
