Hi

Ive been wanting to start a half sleeve for a while and am looking for the right artist. It needs to be very bright and colourful. The idea is to start on my shoulder with a winged heart with a lock on it, the wings going across my shoulder blade/collarbone. I want to build in Roses, Ivy and maybe a musical reference if it works (musical notes etc). I'm looking for a bit of flair to be put into this as I don't want the tattoo looking just like everyone else's, I need something a bit original and am willing to work with someone to get this perfect. I like tattoos that have really heavy outlining, I want it really quite graphic as opposed to realistic.

Ideally I want to start this towards the end of February, but am now looking for the right artist. I've been on countless websites but haven't found anyone that has grabbed me yet. I think its because I'm looking for something extremely bright and eye catching, and I haven't seen anything with the level of colour I'm looking for.

The artist doesn't need to be in the south west, I can travel pretty much anywhere in the UK.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, id be eternally grateful!

I don't know about south west but if I wanted something colourful and traditional I'd go to Steve Byrne I think

The OP seems to be describing newschool work though, there's no mention of traditional. The fact she likes really heavy outlining kinda makes me think massive powerlines, and that's not traditional at all.

Leah Moule is definitely a good bet for that kina thing.

I really hate this style of work, but that is a fucking good tattoo. I wouldn't wear it for all the tea in China, but I think Leah's gone from being 'poor man's Jo Harrison' to being 'better than Jo at what Jo used to do'.
