does steroid cream fade ink?

a mate of mine wants to get some ink but has a slight skin condition requiring steroid cream.he,s worried that the cream may fade or alter ink..any ideas cheers

i am a long term user of steriod creams for my skin and none of my tattoos hve altered at all from using it.

Depends on what type of steroid cream your using, some thin the skin, others thicken or speed healing ect...if your getting treatment for acne ie Accumed then best avoid a tattoo till treatment finished as this can cause adverse scarring in the tattoo area. Check with your doctor and be honest with your artist, a tattoo's for life so best get it right first time...

i have mild eczema, mainly around my joints eg, back of my legs, inside elbows etc. but i have found that after every tattoo i get about a week after im completely healed i get a small amount of eczema around (not on) the area that was tattooeed.
i imagine its because of the trauma to the skin but i use a steroid cream to clear it, trying to avoid applying it onto the inked skin and it hasnt had any effect on the ink at all.

best advice would be to use it sparingly.
