Default What is this tattoo and does it mean anything?

Been wondering this for ages, Ive seen billy decola and John Mayer with a small flower bud on their wrist seperate from their sleeve tattoo.

I have a few sessions left on my sleeve and am thinking of getting this added because it will fit well with what I've got.

I was just wondering if it means anything and what sort of flower it is? Closed cherry blossom ?

Thanks

Cherry blossoms in Japan represent the beauty and fragility of life, a closed over bud to me would represent a birth (a life not yet fully opened) or a death (a closed over bud signifying that a life is over).

thank you, is there any significance of it being on the wrist as a seperate tattoo to the sleeve?

It seems to be separate for a reason, maybe to signify it's a memorial?

It is a peach. Pulled this from the web. Cheers!

The peach is a symbol of long, prosperous life in both Chinese and Japanese folklores, and when you remember what he said, “I want less, but for longer”, the meaning is obvious, ‘LONGEVITY’
