Im contemplating getting a greek mythology tattoo on my calf.
It will be a mixture of a few different creatures from greek mythology.
It is a subject which has always intrigued me and I enjoy learning about it however I have no greek heritage and as of yet have not traveled to Greece.
In your personal opinion do you think its right for me to be getting a Greek mythology tattoo in these circumstances?
People have different reasons to get a tattoo. Just liking the imagery and/or the stories behind them is enough to get it tattooed IMO. Most people who get Japanese sleeves are not from japanese descent and many won't have been there and many never will! None of my tattoos have any significance other than liking them. Sounds like you've put some thought into it and I'd say go for it!
It's more than OK to do it! Like chr1s said, it's enough reason to do it if you're in to the style visually
Тhe meaning of the tattoo is in the person's head
Like people have already said before me, people have different reasons for getting tattoos and if ancient Greek mythology is something you have your heart set on then why not? It's your body, adorn it as your wish. Done well you ideas could translate into some beautiful tattoo work
I went for my consultation today. Ive gone for cerberus, harpies, erinyes and a hoplite warrior at the center of it all fighting them.
Its going to 12 hours plus to complete and should be completed by mid november.
