Default Idea's for cover up.

Hi guys

Totally new to tattoos so please be gentle.

My friend had a guys name tattooed on her hand (stupid I know) anyway she has been told that she could have it removed costing a lot of money or have it covered up. She has gone for the cover up method as she like's tattoos.

I am sort of seeking some ideas or advice, suggestions on the below tattoo?

Gareth

Is she sure she wants it covered. A cover up needs to be a certain amount bigger to be effective.

I think she would be better off with the laser.

Does she have other tattoos?

laser, for sure. Or she will end up with a big dark smudgey mess, guaranteed.

If you are covering that, to do it properly, you need to use all of the clean skin around it. All of it. The entire top of her hand will be tattooed. Is she sure she is ready to take the leap into heavily visibly tattooed world? Is her employment that secure? If she answers no to any of these questions, just laser it. Its not that expensive.

Completely agree with the others and the advice she got wasn't strictly accurate. There are three not two options - laser, laser and cover, cover with no laser. One or two blasts with a laser will be a fraction of the cover up cost and will open up more cover up options... speaking as someone that has had cover ups THEN realised how many options are available....

Hi there

I'm working on a radio feature at the moment about tattoo removal and regret - would you be interested in speaking to me about it? It wouldn't take much of your time, I can sympathise as I am going through tattoo removal myself at the moment

If you're interested drop me an e-mail at lucy.johnson0191@gmail.com
I'm based in London so if you're in the area let me know

Cheers!

Lucy

Sorry for the late reply's

She has had a laser session with a guy in Stockport. She was nearly in tears as she said it was worse than actually having the tattoo done in the first place. She's going back every month for 3 more sessions then hopefully it should have gone.

Thanks for the advice guys.

Red face Desperated

Heya I have the same problem here, just a bigger one.

I wanted a nice tattoo with the thin wings but basically they look like double its size. Pretty desperate here, if anyone has any idea for a cover up, would be veeery thankful. Money is not an issue, just want to have a really beautiful tattoo after all.
