Default Full sleeve question

Some opinions on this would be well received.. I currently have a full sleeve and a half sleeve. Both are themed but the half sleeve I am struggling to think of something to finish off into a full sleeve. Currenly the half sleeve is of a buddha, some lotus flowers and a hand gesture meaning teaching in buddhism but now I am stumped.

My full sleeve is ok, it consists of a koi, a water lilly, a hannya mask and a gesha so all japenese theme.

I really like sugar skulls but putting this under a buddhist sleeve, do you think it would be odd. My tattoo artist is very good so the design will be simular but obviously I lose the theme.

What are you opinions on this?

Or include buddhist motifs and a southeast asian style with the skull-but I think full mexican style could look dodgy-depending of course on the skill of your artist.

Sugar skulls would probably look odd. They're South American in origin (Mexican I think?) so not really linked to Buddhist culture.

How about taking the old school approach and going to the library and seeing if there are any books on the subject for inspiration? The ideas on here so far are good too. Best of luck!

Pics?

If the half sleeve is on the upper arm perhaps a waterfall with some nature theme below could work (more flowers like lotus, water lilies). If above then perhaps a tree.

Depends on the style, will be easier if we saw the tattoo.

Thank you all for your input, I have been searching information on Buddhism.

I have put pics on my profile so you can see what I am talking about.
