Had my first laser session on my arm & ankle today - not half as painful as I was expecting. The arm is looking pretty grim but I am we'll chuffed to see that some of the outline has disappeared already!

Does anyone know how to put photos on here from an iPhone? My littlest son has put me on a guilt trip - the line 'I don't want you to get a new tattoo mummy, I like this one!' was delivered with big eyes & a wobbly bottom lip. I need telling that I'm doing the right thing!

You're right, it does need to go. Have you always been unhappy with it?

Nah, when I first had it done (20 years ago) I loved it! I've gradually come to like it less & less - I'm now at the point where I deliberately keep it covered. I do have a bit of a sentimental attachment to it - it reminds me of being young & silly - but now I'm getting more (obviously much better) tattoos, it's gonna stick out like a sore arse.

So only one opinion? Out of all those tribal-haters?

Now I'm wondering whether it's
A) not shit enough to comment on
B) so shit that it goes without saying...

dense black like you have .you dont usually see results the first session or two, but its def possible, its hard to tell with all the redness you have, the tattoo continues to fade for 8 weeks , post a healed pic in two weeks.. fading to cover up i hope

Ha ha, thank you - just what I needed to hear! Still having a bit of a wobble about erasing a bit of my history & upsetting my littlun.

The redness & swelling has gone now, as has most of the scabbiness. The tribal bit has faded a bit already, looking sort of speckley I've had a kanji on my ankle zapped too, same story there. The outline on the wings has completely disappeared in places - so chuffed! Not doing the red bit coz it's not really necessary & a massive hassle, apparently. Will put another photo up when it's been a week if anyone's interested.
