Post Chinese dragon for first tattoo, opinions needed

I'm 17 at the moment. I always wanted to get a tattoo and I'll wait until I'm 18 to do my first one. I always liked the chinese dragon, and was thinking about getting one on my upper back, about 12 inches long. I'm fairly new to the tattoo world and I don't know if it's cliche or not, I definately don't want any unoriginal tattoos. Do you think it's good? Should I get something together with the dragon to make it look better? I want something similar to this:

+2, I waited 8 years to get a really good dragon because I didn't take enough care when i was 18.

Don't just a dragon, get a good dragon.

AS above, find a great artist whos style you like and then stop by here and ask for opinions, or tell us where you are and I am sure you will get some great recommendations.

Are you prepared to travel?
