Default Chris Crooks 3/4 Sleeve

Hi all

like many i have been reading and using this forum for a while without joining or contributing. i finally decided to join and share my experience of beginning a Japanese style sleeve by Chris Crooks of White Dragon Belfast.

I was initially given a waiting time of 11 months but was lucky enough to get a cancellation so in reality I waited about 7 weeks. I choose Chris because I love his style and as a bonus he lives relatively close to me. I checked out other artists including Fil Wood, Steve Morante, Billy Hay and Matt Hart ( i was actually booked with Matt initially).

I would recommend Chris very highly.Hes a cool guy, and very easy to talk to, and has great ideas. His studio is a fantastic environment, full of brilliant art, body suit sketches from tattooists all over the world, and it really is a shrine to his art and passion. Im currently 12 hours in and its sitting ready to be coloured. I also have a very clear plan for expanding into a full sleeve.

the above is a link to my 1st sitting, 7 hours total.

this is the 2nd sitting, about 5 hours on the inner arm (aaahhhhh!)

Any questions about the process/Chris etc please feel free to ask. I will try to figure out how to post pics and get healed ones up. I love it and thinks its taking shape really well. Chris' brief was essentially a bad ass tiger!

It wont be every ones taste, and thats fine. Thanks for looking.

C

I really like it and you must be chuffed about how much was done in such little time. He must be quite quick!

Think it's going to look lovely when it's all done and I'd be stoked if i were you

Gorgeous, but not much else you can expect when Chris Crooks is involved.

thanks for all the feed back, all comments much appreciated.
Chris Crooks is definitely a talented guy and he works super quick. For the initial sitting i was watching him work and i couldnt believe just how quick the ink was going on my arm!
When the inner arm heals i will try to get photos up. I will be back to get coloured this side of Christmas, telling Chris to colour as he sees fit, as long as its vibrant and bright. Ill get more photos as things progress.
thanks again

Good to hear some feedback about the actual process of getting tattooed by Chris as I'm booked with him in May next year. I'm really looking forward to meeting him and visiting his studio as well as getting the actual tattoo!

I've seen your pieces on Instagram already, beautiful work!
