That looks stunning so far - I'm jealous!!
As for the back, I've found bits pretty horrible, over the kidneys for example, but on the whole not too bad.

You'll enjoy it once he goes over the back of your ribs lol.
I had to! It's the Monkey King after all. Loved the show and story when I was a kid.

Have you guys talked about the colour palette yet?

The way the CDN dollar is going right now it's making me rethink about the talent located within our borders...
Yes, he works fast. Hopefully, the shading is just as fast haha

We haven't talked about colour yet, but red and gold will definitely play a strong role. The Monkey King is suppose to be flying through the clouds toward the heavens, so there will be dark shades of purple and blues. I'll let Steve do what he feels is right though.

His rate is very reasonable. $200CDN/hr. And our dollar is really low right now too.

Definitely! That's something we talked about during consultation and he really delivered with the design.

Finally a Steve Moore post!! He seems to not getting much love from this forum but to me he is absolutely in the top ten artist, his work is just... epic! The best word to describe his tattoos.
