Default Bio oil?

Has anyone used bio oil on their tattoo after it has healed? My piece is about a month old and wanted to start using this stuff but wanted to make sure it wouldn't fade my tattoo or make it look worse. Anyone have any opinions or experiences they want to share?

It's too bad you can't use the search function for words that short because this has come up a few times recently. A lot of people have used it with great success to heal laser treatments. Some have also stated that they use it for tattoos with good results, especially tattoos with some scarring.

I use Ohana Organics. I like the ingredient list. If Iím not using it, Iíll use argan oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil ... whichever I have on hand. I would mix some oils with Shea to make my own lotion but Iím too lazy, thatís why I like Ohana.

Thanks. I'm guessing bio oil doesn't have the best ingredients or natural ingredients which is why you dont use it?

Also, I tried searching but my phone didn't return any results which is why I started a new thread. I was too impatient to search on my computer after work

I prefer natural ingredients. Sadly, skincare products are not very regulated and synthetic chemicals can be used before their safety and effects are determined. And lots of times even after we know certain ingredients are toxic, they are still widely used in products. Iím definitely on the far end of the spectrum though. The ingredients in the lotion you use probably do not significantly affect how your tattoo looks unless you have very sensitive skin. You can use the EWG site as a reference, it will list the ingredients, their ratings and risks, and you can click on ingredients to learn more. Itís not always accurate but itís a good starting point. Again, most people are not as obsessive as me and couldnít give two shits about ingredients in lotion so you definitely donít have to have the most natural moisturizer to make your tattoo look nice, but you asked and maybe I gave too much info? You like the results I take it? I just bought elbow grease because it gets good reviews and is priced right but I'd like to give this stuff a try too
