Default Black-out Tattoos

Howdy peeps... Does anyone have any experience getting black-out tattoos?

Also, any experience getting white ink over it? Iíve seen some great examples of it working really well (Nathan Mouldís work) and then some not so good. Obviously depends on the skill of the artist but would be interested to hear from anyone with direct experience.

Haha!

The blackout was 1 pass, and it's covered it great. The white on top has faded a lot but is still visible when you look closely, but that was also only 1 pass, if I decide to do so I'll go over it again but there's other tattoos I want as well!

I would have personally have gotten the first one lasered off then covered. The cover up only looks marginally better imo.

I have my entire lower arm blacked out (elbow to wrist) - can't find a decent picture for the life of me but happy to get one if you wanted.

You can still see the shapes of the original tattoo under it in certain lighting which is fine for me but probably not great if you wanted white over it.

I did see black over black recently though - pretty cool

Yeah would be great if you could share pics.

Agreed, that tat is pretty sick. I know blackouts aren't ideal by any stretch of the imagination but it's making the best out of a bad situation if you can turn it into something like that.
