Smile Affordable neo Japanese artists

Hey all,

I'm currently on a long road to getting myself some nice artwork by a good artist. I got some horrendous tattoos in my teens and I'm about 18 months into laser removal with 8 more sessions to go once I'm done, I plan on getting a chest and upper arms piece in a mix of neo Japanese work.

My original aim was to get something done by Chris Crooks or Henrik Grysbjerg but I just simply can't afford them. I then started looking at Hayley Hayes, Dalmiro Dalmont, Steve Morant's, Aaron Burton etc... And again, they are all around £150 per hour.

I live in Bedfordshire and work in London so I'm now trying to find someone close (ish) that doesn't cost the earth but does a good job for my budget. In terms of cost, I'm looking at a max of £500 per day (approx £80 to £85 per hour).

So far I've found Aiden O'Brien in Leicester but his style is a little too traditional for me. I've emailed Joe Carpenter in Norwich but he hasn't replied yet. I really like the look of his style burning don't see much neo Japanese in his portfolio. The only other artist I've found is Simon Cooke from the Ink Spot in Stoke on Trent. He doesn't really do neo Japanese either but his attention to detail is what drew me to him.

In all honesty I'm a bit lost at the moment. Can anyone else recommend an artist that meets my criteria? (And more importantly my budget!)

Have a look at Matt Hart. He is just outside Leeds, so a bit up the M1 from you but does fit in your budget at £450 a day or £80 an hour.

Also, Joe Frost, he has done some neo-Japanese in his own style and is within your budget

Good shout. I've just started following him on Instagram. I've also sent an email to make an initial enquiry so thanks.

Thanks for this. Matt is definitely the type of artist I'm looking for but I'm not sure whether he's a bit too far away. That said, he's definitely worth considering so thanks.

Thanks again. Not sure I like his style but thanks.

Keep them coming guys. I can't believe there is no one who fits into this bracket in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire or Cambridgeshire.
