Default Black and Grey Neo-Traditional

I've heard a lot of neo-traditional fans say they don't particularly care for black and grey neo-traditional. This makes sense to me since a big part of what makes neo-traditional great is the creative color palettes and color saturation.

My dilemma is that I like neo-traditional tattoos but don't see myself getting any color tattoos. So please help me find the neo-traditional artists who do the best b&g (and also enjoy doing it). Bonus points for artists in the US but I'd like to see awesome examples from all over.

I'm also open to a more opaque style of b&g if that helps.

Standard Sushi Disclaimer: Bonus points are worthless.

Just to get things started. I'm pretty sure Justin Hartman is going to jump to mind for a lot of people. And I agree that his work is insane. Although he's tough to book in with.

Also, I love Bobby Johnson's b&g, and I've read that he'd like to do more of it. But his books always seem to be closed as well.

And I've seen a few really cool b&g pieces by Chris Primm, but again, closed books.

I guess San Diego is a hot spot for b&g neo-trad?

His style lends more towards illustrative but there is a few pieces with a touch of neo-traditional @thomasbatestattoo

My knowledge in this arena sucks though.

He is not US (sorry) and you probably already know him, he's got quite a big following.

I will also be not helpful in suggesting a non US artist and say that Emily Rose Murray's B&G Neo Trad game is strong

Thanks all. Non-US artists are fine, encouraged even. I'm more likely to visit a US artist but I want to see the best examples in the world to help me calibrate my mind to what's possible.

These have either B&G works (like Sneaky) or are slightly muted colours (Chris Green, Jacob Gardner). Hope this helps a bit although most are Europeans!
