I think that's going to look amazing when it's finished.
Don't worry about the linework, looking at his work it'll get covered and lost in the detail of all the shading. Take a look at this other ship that Micky has done, which I presume will be similar to your finished result:

You are never going to spot a slight blow-out in all that.

I was actually looking at this exact same tattoo yesterday and thought the same - I've also asked him to go dark and bold with the look and he already shades ships and octopuses heavily to begin with from what i've seen.

It's not perfect but then again could be the fuzzy pictures.
