First thanks a lot to all of you for your compliments.....Yes one thing which was really important for me was that he do a good graduation to my other pieces which he definately did in my opinion! For sure he is not the fastest but its also a big difference if you get a realistic or a traditional, japanese, new school or similar style piece which goes definately faster. Another thing is that Matthew works with tons of refferences while hes tattoing and dont have a single design ready which most of the artists has (hard to describe his process). The skin on the neck is also really thin and not that easy to tattoo as many artists i spoke with confirmed. One more thing to mention is that he really cares about how all this little details ages over the years. I would say that on 90% of the time he puts the ink in the skin with a 5 er or 7er liner (same technique as for example Samohin is using „dont want to compare them“).

Please dont misunderstand me....i just try to explain why he might be slower than other Artists.....In the end the most important thing for me is the final result which im totally in love with!

Please have understanding for me if i may used a wrong tone in any sentence....i totally dont want to attack anybody here. Im German and i try my best to describe what i want to say in English 🤯

you’re fine! your explanation was perfect. how would u describe the pain and the experience? did it feel more sore on day 2 than it did on day 3 or was it all the same? for me personally, all of my sessions felt more or less same as day 1.

Yes i could definately agree with your experience. It nearly felt all the same each day...one thing is that i felt like a truck went over me after the 3 days and i nearly slept 24 hours which showed me that my body definately had to fight with it! Today im fine again and the sun is shining thorughout my ass

Good point about the style which I didn't even mention. I just went for the most drastic example of a super fast tattoo that I could think of to emphasize the difference.

Like I said earlier, and gets repeated on here pretty regularly, who cares how long it takes as long as it comes out awesome! I saw a decently respected local artist do a full back in one day at the Seattle Tattoo Expo. But it looked like shit!

Congrats again. Don't forget to update your other thread, which is one of my all time favorites!
