Why can't I log out?

I hit the log out thing and then get a page that says "access denied". When I go back to the forum I'm still signed in...

It wouldn't really matter much, but there are three computers in this house and I seem to be permanently logged in on every one of them - meaning Andy couldn't sign in if he wanted to!

What happened to all the techy staff that used to be here? Did they just finish up and go away?

I imagine they're busy getting the next issue ready, i believe there are deadlines flying around this time of month.

Try logging out then pressing shift and clicking refresh on your internet browser at the same time... when you click logon, do it again on that screen before you log in... the same thing happens to me a lot, I just try that on a variety of screens and eventually it works

Really? I thought Davidarthur and Jahmal were actual techy people, rather than publishing people.

Nonetheless, I wish they would come back long enough to clean up the glitches.

Yeah we are aware of this problem... and its a real bugger. It affects people who are in the forum for a long time but dont visit the rest of the site
As a temporary solution and it sounds a bit silly but...
go to the home page of the site, if it says in the black bar at the top 'welcome back' you'll have no problems logging out so you can click logout. If it doesnt and gives you the option to login, login and then logout.
This will log you out properly from the forum and the rest of the site.

Short cut: visit User account | Big Tattoo Planet login, then logout.

(I would look at the rest of the site, but all of the articles I've looked at so far are two years out of date and already published in the magazine - I'm sure I'll look at it when you've finished archiving and started generating brand new content)

Just to let you know the techies haven't gone anywhere... This bug is being worked on right now as a result of your feedback, i dont think anyone should get access denied when trying to logout. Especially when we're asking people to remember to logout to protect their accounts. We'll have a solution soon.
