Default Looking for Japanese Style Tattoo in South East

Hello,

I've been looking for a quality (who isn't?) Japanese style tattoo in the South East of England. I've been really taken with the quality and style of Shige of Yellowblaze. I was wondering if there is anyone here in England that can compare in terms of style and quality?

What advice would you give me to find what I'm looking for?

BTW I'm looking for a Japanese style upper arm sleeve with bright multiple colours and my partner is looking for a Koi japanese style tattoo.

Thanks for your advice.

Default Japanese tattoo

Try Ian Flower, Newskool tattoo, 85 high st, Ewell village, Epsom. Errmm, let me think; www.newskooltattoos.com is the website but the last time i tried to get in there were a few problems. Very good artist, i have a backpiece in progress done by the man himself .

Just tried that website, no good but i'll get his phone number up for you so you can give him a ring and have a little chat, tell him len sent you .

Many thanks for all the replies and places to look. From the websites listed the nearest thing I have seen to what we're looking for is thefamilybusiness, although the others are look very good as well.

Does anyone have experience with them (thefamilybusiness that is)? I'm thinking that we'll pop over to see some of those listed within the next 2 weeks. Any thoughts about New Wave?

On a general note, I must say that the tattoo world has changed greatly since I got my tattoo by Ben Gunn 12 years ago. The level of artistry has so much improved - Shiges is just out of this world. Some of what I've seen here comes close also however.

New Wave also have great guest artists over, for instance Benjamin Moss was there last week.

If you like Mo's work go see him he's a good guy and will do you proud.

Good luck.
