I actually applied to go on the show last night, lol. Its the first time Ive ever tried to apply for any kind of show or televised competition really. I dont expect to get on one bit, but i suppose its worth a try.

I was suprised at some of the questions they ask you on the app forms. In one part they ask you to write a gossip mag headline describing yourself. But they also ask you to write a four line poem about the show, and after thinking for a few mins, I came up with this:

The boxes are filled with emotions, all locked by the bankers seal/
There will be no roll of the dice, nor the spinning of a wheel//
All that remains is chance, your destiny- or be it your fate/
It is what the pilgrims long for, as they stand beneath the dream factorys gate//

Kinda cheesy i know lol.

i always wonder how some of the people who are on it for weeks can afford to take so much time off work,i know they prolly dont film 1 a day,maybe 3 or 4 but still,some people are there yonks!

i'd love to have the nerve,but just couldnt

I went to see it being filmed we only saw one but I think they filmed 2 in a day. It takes about 2 hours to film one.
We met a guy who was on it as well I think he was there for a few weeks.

I always imagined you kinda got paid a wage each day you're there... I always wondered, how they get their family members in the audience when they don't know it's going to be their turn... so do their folks have to be there every day too?

I love it, it keeps daisy amused cause they clap whenever they open a box and she sits there clapping too

Edit... I get really cross with the guys who sell a £50k box for £24k then whinge at losing all that money... 20 fucking thousand squid... hello??? stop bitching!!!

They put them up in a hotel and they get an allowance. They have to take holiday off work paid or unpaid thats up to them. If they have a job that is. From what I gattered from this guy we met anyway.

As for there friends and family, they do know when they are going to get called up they just have to act surprised. They get called up when they are the longest running player on the show.

Check me and my Deal or No Deal trivia. It was pretty boring to watch it being filmed but my over excited kiwi mate loved it!

I heard they all get 50quid a day each, but that doesnt include your meals and accomodation and all the other lil parties they throw and everything.

One of the female contestants yesterday was a tattoo artist, so my dad was telling me. She had some nice work on her.

oh i think i know the one you mean, she had like a heart locket with wings on her chest? Didnt know she was a tattooist but id say she was the most likely candidate
