Default Common courtesy in the tattoo industry

Right before i start my little rant i just want to say that when it comes to people that run their own studio i totally understand that they want to be picky on who they have working there as reputation of a studio is everything when it comes to this business.
So i get how hard it is to get a job in a studio and i get that if you don't hear back after showing your work as they are busy and they might have had a lot of interest in the position.
What i don't get is the ones that are all nice until they see your work and then totally ignore you even if you message them or worse they offer a position to you then give you a excuse like there's not enough work now just before your due to start then a week or so down the line are looking for someone again.
Now i am no award winning artist by any means and i am the first to say it but i am not the worst artist so is a little common courtesy and a little bit of honesty to much to ask for even in this cut-throat business or am i expecting way to much of people?

Maybe they're just being polite because you really don't want to know what they're really thinking.

i can only echo this sentiment

would you prefer them to reply to you and say "your not good enough to work in my studio"?

if your being offended by people being polite or not being rude, maybe your not ready for the truth

The same applies in most industries. You can apply for jobs anywhere and never hear back / go for an interview and hear nothing. It would be nice to receive some constructive criticism, but you can't really expect it, they don't owe you anything.

i disagree.
takes two minutes to amend a template email and click on the send button.

a reply is the least you should expect.

Depends if the person you are asking is capable of being constructive with their criticism I suppose!

aye, agreed.
- was thinking about general job applications, not tattoo ones. though there's no real excuse for bad manners/ignorance.
