I'm a civil servant (booo!) which I never would have believed if someone had told 18yr old me this is what I'd end up working as. I was (am?) far too much of a wanna be rebel to fit into the civil servant image that I used to have.

If money was no object, then when I grow up, I'd love to have a sanctuary for animals that have been abused or dumped. Also a brat camp like that programme based in the US. I see so many 'entitled' little fuckers at work that have no vision for their future short of getting high and hanging out with their friends. It's kind of sad cause they just think the world owes them a living (normally benefits) and they've never been taught to have any ambition or dreams. I'd love to work with kids like that and break through their attitude and aggression and teach them that there's more to life than trying to get a name as a hard man and drug dealer. I'd say about 70% of the young people I see at work have criminal records for fighting, stealing and/or drug dealing. It's depressing that they see probation, court and prison as the norm, instead of a bad thing.

Oooh, and off my soap box now! I sound like a tree hugging hippy - eek! As an aside, I would be the one breaking them down and destroying emotionally, and then I'd pay someone to do the touchy feely hippy crap and build them back up into productive members of society.

I'm a security engineer specialising in retail and commercial security solutions. I work on intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control, emergency lighting, electrical article tagging, tannoy systems.

When I was young I was certain I would be a marine biologist until I realised I wasn't that great at science and disliked all forms of schoolwork.

I work as a business development manager for a Freight forwarding company by Heathrow. Helping ship stuff around the world and meeting new people can be interesting.

I wanted to be a therapist.

I am an Operation Manager for an Orthodontics supplies company :drunk:

As a kid i also want to be a marine biologist, but was shit at school due to being in a band and fucked off most of my education in pursuit of a career in punk n ska! ended up being a fish farmer and running a fishery when we ended the band as i though thats what rock stars do lol!

Now been in this job for 12 or so years and i love it. Well trained in Orthodontics as we have to have the same knowledge if not a bit more but its all good, it keeps me in old VWs, holidays and ink. 3 of my fav things ]:):D:party:
