Default Derby - State of the Art 2008

Woo hooooo!!! It's the first thread I've ever started.

So what I want to know is - is anyone actually going? and what day/both?

We're getting tattooed on the Sat (not at the convention due to aforementioned boycotting by some tattooists) and are planning on going for the Sat night of drinking and the convention on the Sunday. Question is - will anybody be there to party with?

Haha! The way things are going, that's doubtful!

We haven't decided yet, but it's kind of unlikely at the moment. Come to Liverpool instead!

I wish we could come to Liverpool, but we have my kids that weekend. Still, we're still gonna be having fun cos we're going to a motorbike rally instead (bikes AND scooters) with camping and bands and all

We might be there, but not sure whether the artists we're booked with are still going or not or whether they're joining the boycott.

Mrs Crash...I'm definitely going to be about for the weekend..
I'm not joining the boycott.... Derby certainly isn't the only convo i've been to in recent years with questionable artists working.

I know of one convo who had an artist there that had knowingly and willingly tattooed 16 yr olds!

Hurray!! We'll be seeing you at a bar then Loo on the Sat night. And Violet - can I be one of your new friends? Oh, you better include the husbandit too. Looks like we'll be going for quality drinking buddies over quantity then If there's less forum memebers there we'll get to spend quality time (more like drunken ramblings) with each of them

I don't think so. Lots of people aren't working it this year because it's prohibitively expensive in comparison to other shows and this year there are so many to choose from that it's not that appealing.

I've had a great time the last two years and I would like to go again... but it's not worth spending the money if no one is going! Better to save it for Tattoo Jam....
