What I don't get is when people want to have negative imagery or wording on themselves, like one guy who had "misunderstood" across his stomach.

May as well have a huge chip tattooed on your shoulder!

Obviously, my favourite genre is old school/traditional tattooing - but that's not to say that I don't enjoy and appreciate other styles.

I'm a big fan of Tim Kern's work, and I love horror - realism and B&G lend really well to the style. I'd definately consider getting a zombie in the future. Something from a Romero film, no doubt.

Japanese work is so classic, and the way it flows with the body is fantastic. There aren't too many styles that can achieve that - other than bio or really well done tribal/geometric work.

I don't think there's a style of tattooing that I particularly dislike to be honest. When it's done well I can fall in love with any piece of tattooing.

Wow - This thread is certainly going to give others an opinion on our Forum Members - Good or Bad. Iv gotta stand with the others on "I like what I Like" - Some Styles we prefer and others we .... are selective on (Could have used a differant word there, but stopped myself)

But here is my views....

LOVE
Japanese (Eastern styles) , Realism (Thats a HUGE SUBJECT), Portraits (They amaze me when done properly) , A Little Old School Traditional (Dislike most of it, but several Artists and Pieces REALLY Stand out) Pin-ups.

HATE
Tribal (Tribal Arm Bands are the BEST), New School (Dont get me started), Celtic Designs, BioMech (Yawn...)

Ya know what, Im going to stop my Opinions right here....
LOVE or HATE it...
IF its for YOU...
THEN WEAR IT!!!!

thats daft... just cause you don't like a particular style, dont mean you think that tattoo is bad... like most people have said, a good tattoo is a good tattoo whether you like the style or not, it's just about personal preference
