Hello, i currently dont have any tattoos. Im looking to get something similar to Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnsons Samoan design on his chest and upper arm. I know its a large first tattoo but its something ive wanted for a long time
Im looking to find a good artist who specialises in this sort of design and wondered if anyone had any advice on where to go; i appreciate this is probably a more special design, and that it has sentimental meanings within the design to Dwayne.
Any advice or constructive thoughts would be appreciated.
I personally don't know why anyone not of polynesian origin would want this kind of thing. I do quite a lot of this stuff, and frequently the reference brought in is of this guy's tattoo. I refuse to copy it, mainly cos I think it's crap, but reason that it's a family tree, etc., etc.
You can get far better work, even in this style, but if you've got no tattoos at all, do some more research and get something better. There's a shit load of work on this forum alone (the 'Been Impressed With A Tattoo' thread) to let you see what's possible.
It just seems the whole recent polynesian thing is this years tribal/stars/cheryl cole/whatever-tattoo-trend-is-next type of thing.
