For someone as popular as Sam Barber it can often be tricky getting a reply. You could try messaging her studio and see if you can find anything out from them?

I’ve also seen her reply to polite inquiries on her IG comments. Keep it short and to the point. Maybe begin with a compliment

She usually advertises availability coming up to conventions. She is doing the Newcastle convention at end of April, you could watch out for that and try jump on it? Just to note, she usually only wants to do 2-3 day pieces with free reign

The last two shows she’s advertised availability, as you say, two days, free rein, but nobody has booked in. That was for a show in America and then Paris.

Yeah I actually said in the email I would give total free reign and have no problem doing 2 days in a row. Was hoping to do it in a studio though because conventions look hella uncomfortable lol. But I suppose when needs must haha. Thanks guys

You could try mailing her again, put in the email title ‘Newcastle Convention - 2 day free reign’ or something like that to get her attention?

Also make sure you send a picture of the area you want tattooed.

Artists get a lot of e-mails and there are a lot of people out there that are truly clueless. No one wants to spend time e-mailing back and forth only to realize that the person wanting a color tattoo has dark brown skin.

I would imagine that most of the e-mail exchanges involve either people fishing for prices, have skin thatS untattooable or are wondering "HEY WEN R U GONNA BE IN MURMANSK NEXT??".
