Where do I stand with covering up these lasered tattoos? *Pics* So for those following my lasering journey I have given up lol Can't do it anymore, too long and waste of money. So it's both my forearms and elbows, they have been lasered to quite a good level, the pics actually make them look darker than they are. Now my vision is portrait sleeves, the tops are done but this is gonna be where it gets complicated, I've seen some artists use dark colour background to create detail but not sure if that would apply here? I highly doubt I will be able to get light portraits so my thinking is what if I got darker ones? I.e. Jimi hendrix, MJ, Prince etc? Failing that, I am tempted to black my arm and get work done over it, i've seen Phatt German did a nice piece. https://www.instagram.com/p/BsV9B7YHCh0/ Anyway, here is some pics https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ac&oe=5CC9BA63 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...21&oe=5CC348DB https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...46&oe=5CC0A193 https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...53&oe=5CCACB8B https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...33&oe=5CB52371 Hit me with my options even if it might not be what I wanna hear :aw: |
How many sessions of laser is that? I think you’ll need to get it a lot lighter if you want portraits. Looking with my expert eye I’d guess you’ve done maybe three? And who’s doing your laser? It doesn’t look like it’d be that hard to shift, it’s not tribal  |
Darren stares one of the best port rates very experienced Portsmouth or Plymouth look him up |

It's done by a local guy but needs changing I think, I need to like pay more and get a good laser maybe. |
What laser is he using? Whatever it is, it can't be the right one if that's 8-9 sessions. It sounds like you need a consultation with Jayman. |
And while you wait for Jay to show up, read this thread if you haven't already. You probably have, but I'll paste it in anyway in case anyone else reading this thread wants to spend two weeks learning about laser. Bad tattoos getting lasered thread |
The Jayman consultation has already taken place. Here it is. Great to see Darren Stares get a mention on here. Tattoo legend! If you’re anywhere near London contact Wayne at the Reset Room, he comes highly recommended. His place is near Liverpool Street. I know a lot of tattooists that get lasered by him and they travel a fair distance to go there. I’ve never been to the shop but I have exchanged numerous emails and he’s really helpful and full of advice. https://www.resetroom.com https://instagram.com/discard1d?utm_...=1lhreiu28enbw |
So it has come down to either black out the area or get a better laser... I ain't going back to my laser guy anymore, it's clear the progress is too slow. When I spoke to JayMan in the past he said Wayne at Reset Room used a PicoSure laser and it's designed for colour but not black so I was pretty much wasting my money. He said I need to find a PicoWay laser as that is rated as the best laser int he world for black ink. Does anyone know of any PicoWay lasers in UK? And prices? |
You didn’t listen to Jayman before, why start now? ;) https://instagram.com/resetroom?utm_...d=mjvin31j7znb Look at the pictures. I’m pretty sure they have two lasers at Reset Room. Prices are also reasonable. |

But now hoping I don't need too many sessions with a Picoway. https://www.pulselightclinic.co.uk/t...removal-prices This place has both lasers and offers 0% monthly payments so think I might have a consultation. I was originally going to Wayne at Reset Room but stopped as I was advised the Picosure he uses just isn't worth the money on black and was spending 400 a time and also wanted to focus on other tats. Now though I just really want my arms finishing. |
