Default Healing a hand tattoo

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone here had experience healing a hand tattoo? (back of hand + fingers)

Normally when healing a tattoo, I keep the tattoo covered with cling film, changing this 3-4 times a day with a gentle wash in water then apply a small layer of hustle butter for the first 3-4 days (until it starts to flake, then I just add a small layer of palmers coco butter 3-4 times a day after that for 2 weeks).

I dont see it being practical to keep my hand covered in clingfilm for 4 days so does anyone have a method they have used and has success with?

Thanks for any help you can give

What makes it not practical to keep your hand covered in clingfilm for F O U R days?

Are you an ocean floor scavenger that can't take 4 days off work?

You could also just use dermalize and other similar products.

Have you done it? if so how did you doing stuff while having the clingfilm on?

No I can't have it off work unfortunately, I had originally had it booked off when I booked in a few months ago but now have to go in because of delays. Nature of the industry I'm afraid.

My skin has a reaction to adhesives so I can't use dermalize (it would ruin the tattoo)

Yes keep it wrapped if you’re going to be working. Get some fingerless gloves.

I have not had my hands done. If I was going to do that, I would take time off work full stop. Sorry to hear that you ran into that hiccup but there's no other way.
Have your doctor write you a note to be off for sick leave.

I feel like Tom's idea will work. Get some nitrile exam gloves from your artist or the pharmacy. Cut the fingers off at the knuckles like you're a badass. Problem solved.

What do you do for work? Is it going to be extra hard to keep it clean? Do you work with your hands in a way that'll make it hard not to rip the exam gloves? No matter the issue, I feel like we can work through this without a sick note.
